Am I the AITH in this situation
I went out on a date with someone yesternight, halfway through the date he tells me that he's 31..... I'm 18!
I thought it was all a bad idea and we should probably stop talking and just remain as aquintances. He blew up, said I was being childish and "shaming him" also said if I was worried he was going to play around with me then I shouldn't be worried cause he's looking for a wife. Well man congratulations and good luck on that but I'm not that wife for you. I told him that and his eyes became misty, he was on the verge of tears, he said he'd wait till I'm done with varsity and he'll marry me then. I'll be done with my course in 2 years, I'll be 20 and nowhere near getting ready to settle down. I told him this still and he go super upset, slammed his palms on the table and started speaking rudely and very loudly IN A PUBLIC RESTAURANT!
A waiter came over to our table to say something, he never let her say whatever she had to say before shouting a cuss out at both of us then he stormed out.
After he left I paid the bills and walked out wondering what the heck just happened and there he was, leaning on my car.When he saw me coming out he ran towards me and started talking bout how beautiful he thinks I am and how he's ready to wait for me, how I'm the kind of girl he'll want to take home, at that point I lost it. He was creeping me tf out, I called him bat s**t Cra.zy and told him he needs help, maybe therapy because his obsession with marriage was scary and he was being scary. I made it out of the area and I updated my friends in our GC about what happened (because they already knew I was going on a date)
All 8 of my girlfriends think I'm over reacting and being insensitive towards him. They all said I need to understand he's desperation to get married, and they also think since he's ready to wait for me to finish university I should just give him a chance. They think I was an AH to him for calling him crazy.
