“You can’t combine that many greens” ✋🛑🤢
Honestly, even I was 50/50 in the beginning when we found the original sink and salvaged Vitrolite tile- the tile green and sink green were sort of similar, but not a perfect match. It felt like combining them would either be fabulous OR a complete disaster.
Sometimes, you gotta stick with your gut, and remember that you’re designing a special home unique to you and your family 💚. (Which consists of a painter/fixer husband named Patrick and 2 dogs in my case!)
Also- I obsessively forced those two greens together hahaha. The “Arsenic Green” F&B paint color on the trim and cabinets is very close to the original sink color. The wallpaper on the other hand relates very closely to the tile. And the caulk (not grout) between the tiles is tinted by us to match the trim color. The outlets of course and fridge are matched to be a shade of the tile color. And the dark green floor color also picks back up in the hardware and wallpaper.

My older sister has a tri level house with a downstairs sublevel that was empty. My husband passed away and they and I worked to make this area a small studio type apartment for me. It's not fancy, but it's very cozy and inviting. I took these pictures on the fly so it's not exactly showcase right now lol. It's partially below ground, so the windows you see are at ground level outside. My brother-in-law bought kitchen cabinets and created a small kitchen for me and I have a full size refrigerator and a stack washer and dryer. I laughingly call it my hobbit hole.

A few months ago, somebody in this group posted a photo of a whimsical little cupboard they'd found on the side of the street - and I fell in love with it!! It looked like it belonged in a Disney movie and I was obsessed - so obsessed that I screenshot and sent it to my boyfriend gushing over how sassy it looked and how much I loved it! Fast forward to Christmas and sure didn't he only go and repurpose an old wardrobe and make me a sassy locker of my own 😭💜 How he managed to make it with no instructions and only a screenshot to go by I'll never know - and I still have to decide how to paint or stain it - but thank you so much to Becky for sharing your find in the first place!! You have no idea how much joy it has brought me 😂💜

Did a little sonethin somethin to my shop room oooh laa laa love it ♡ sorry peeps its floor boards done in decopaged decorative napkins I first sanded boards then painted with white diy chalk paint the cut napkins to size then glued them down then sanded and distressed then 3 coats of clear water based polly 😊

Please help settle a debate between my hubby and I, do you think the large round circle art pieces against back wall are too large for the space. I love the pieces , but for some reason I think it takes over the space and it’s the first thing you see. You see this the minute you walk in my front door as it’s all open concept! I can post picture in comments from the front door! My husband and I never fight, but this one became a huge disagreement.

My parents had 4 cats show up in their yard awhile back. Our Minnesota winters can be cold, but it's a good thing my parents have always been crafting fans, so my dad built this cat condo for them, and my mom decorated their “cat houses” with scraps that didn't go on sale (she has her own little store in the Tedooo app and is very quality-conscious, so sometimes there are scraps left over) The cats love it. The platform is for their food and water so the wild animals don't steal it from them. The bird feeder is their favorite as they love the entertainment it brings.

At 70 years old, my mom finally got a home of her own - something she’s never had before. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for her, and I promised to help design it. She loves green (which, to be honest, I absolutely can’t stand!), but this is her dream, so I’m going to make it work. I saw this pic and she loved this as inspiration and thinks the green and purple will be great together. I would love to get some feedback from all of you. Any thoughts or ideas? I’d really appreciate the help!
