We are excited to announce one of several of our new signings for 2025. We are kicking off the new year with Anemic (.ca).

Featuring members of Clique, Luster, and countless other bands, Anemic is an alternative metal band from Northern California, blending influences from the 90s. With their self-released debut EP Bittersweet, their sound captures both the beauty and pain of existence with themes of grief and inner struggle.

New music to come in 2025, but you can stream their self-released debut EP now.

⏳ 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 ⌛
We would like to thank everyone who showed their support for the artists and the label this year. It was a huge year for us, amassing a total of 18 releases (not even counting several reissues).

This label is a labor of love and we don’t make a dime off of what we do. We always strive to put the artists and the art first and deliver releases that we truly love, regardless of how hyped they are. Every release that you see represents the work of an artist that we admire and it is a privilege to work with them all.

We also want to give credit to the several labels that we collaborated with this year: Summer Darling Tapes, Protagonist Music, Seeing Red Records, and Candlepin Records.

We can’t wait to share what we have in store for 2025.

⚖️ JUSTICE DIVINE ⚖️

There’s no doubt that France has produced some of the greatest Oi bands of all time. This rich history goes as far back as bands like La Souris Déglinguée and Camera Silens. Fast forward to today, bands like Rixe and Syndrome 81 continue to dominate the scene. It’s no coincidence that France was the epicenter of La Vague Froide—the first coldwave scene. Thus, it is only logical that it serves as the nidus for a hybrid of the two.

Perfectly executing the unlikely combination of Oi and coldwave is Brest-based newcomer Justice Divine. The brainchild of Jacky Cadiou (Syndrome 81, Prisonnier Du Temps, Grisaille), Justice Divine makes their presence known with their self-titled seven-song debut album. The group seamlessly integrates driving anthemic Oi rhythms, incensed hardcore vocals, brooding coldwave synths, and oddly enough—ethereal Gregorian chants.

Combined, Justice Divine takes a unique approach to the genre that leans heavier on the darker side that draws comparisons to “Second Empire Justice” era Blitz, Sisters of Mercy, and Death Cult.

The album is released in France on Destructure Records and in the US on à La Carte Records.

Austin minimal synth outfit Flesh of Morning returns with their haunting new track, “The Devil in Me,” a dark and immersive piece that serves as the eerie soundtrack to a new short horror music video by Z.H. Williams. 

“The Devil in Me” dives deep into the complexities of human nature, using the symbolic figure of “the devil” as a metaphor for the darker impulses that exist within us all. The song doesn’t just hint at evil as an abstract concept; it also reflects how it surfaces in everyday life, from fear and paranoia to extremism and the way those forces shape our reality. By invoking this motif, Flesh of Morning taps into a timeless narrative—one where human frailty, temptation, and the consequences of giving in to our darkest instincts are brought to the forefront.

The accompanying music video, directed by Z.H. Williams (.h.williams), expands on this theme, embracing the eerie Americana horror of 1980s satanic panic and the cultural hysteria that swept through rural communities at the time. Set on a real local farm in Elgin, Texas, the film juxtaposes the backdrop of rural life with the ominous shadows of fear and conspiracy. Williams takes a satirical approach on the rise of conspiracy figures like Alex Jones and the role public access TV played in amplifying fringe ideologies during that time - reflecting on how these figures used media to incite hysteria, tapping into societal fears and fueling cultural anxieties.

A special cameo by local cult horror filmmaker and video artist Kirk Hunter gives the project an added layer of authenticity. At 67 years old, Hunter, known for his outlandish 80s and 90s horror films like “Blood of the Barn Llama,” serves as a mentor to Faiza Kracheni, who views his work as pivotal to the Austin analog filmmaking scene. His inclusion pays homage to the DIY horror and public access culture that thrived during that era.

Brooklyn-based band Velvet has become well known in the NYC scene for their crushing live performances and distinctly heavy tones. With their debut album, released on cassette in early 2024 on Candlepin Records (), the group has a sound that blends the ethereal textures of shoegaze with a raw alt-rock energy.

We are excited to reissue the long sold-out cassette on vinyl for the first time. “Romance” is available now for pre-order and limited to 200 copies on clear vinyl with purple splatter and black smoke.

Pet TV, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Cody Bass, blends Britpop influences with a 90s slacker rock edge. Born and raised outside Jackson, Mississippi, Cody found a DIY music community that shaped his creative approach, teaching himself instruments as needed and playing in numerous bands. His debut album, “Terriarum,” set to release on à La Carte Records, began as a pandemic project to dive into home recording and solo songwriting. Pet TV delivers fuzzed-out, no-frills songs with nods to Guided By Voices, Pixies, and Beck, crafting a sound that feels both fresh and familiar.

“Terrarium” is out November 1st, but you can stream the title track along with “Honey,” “Glib Ritual,” “Big Big Picture,” and “Turpentine” now.
