Please welcome Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, who is the President of the Board of Commissioners and Chairman of the Audit Committee at PT Bukalapak.com, the President of the Board of Commissioners at PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, a Commissioner of PT Astra International Tbk, a Commissioner of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk, the Chairman of the Board of Professors in the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia, the Chairman of the Indonesia Forum Foundation, and a Member of the Supervisory Board of the German-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Indonesien). He will be the Keynote Speaker at the 8th HR Technology Congress Asia's Future-Proofing Compensation and Benefits Session.

Professor Bambang Brodjonegoro has nurtured a remarkable career in Indonesia, making significant contributions to research, technology, innovation, development planning, economic stabilization, and financing. He is highly regarded for his expertise, and his counsel is sought after by organizations, banks, and public and private companies.

Prof. Brodjonegoro holds important positions as an Independent Commissioner of PT Astra International Tbk, the President Commissioner of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk, the President Commissioner of PT Bukalapak.com, and an Independent Commissioner of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk. He is also an active member of several organizations, including the Asian Development Bank Institute and the Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI), and currently serves as the Chairman of the Indonesia Forum Foundation.

Prof. Brodjonegoro has also held several ministerial positions in the Indonesian government, including as Minister of Research and Technology (Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN)), Minister of National Development Planning (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas), and Minister of Finance (Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia). In the business world, he has served on the Board of Commissioners for PLN, the Asia Bond Fund, Adira Insurance, PT ANTAM Tbk, and Pertamina.

As the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (Universitas Indonesia), he has mentored many future leaders. His advisory roles often focus on audit committees, good governance, and sustainable development goals.

Prof. Brodjonegoro's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Indonesia and a Master's of Urban Planning and a Ph.D. in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the USA.

Kimia Farma is among the leading pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia. Mr. Anung has over twenty-five years of experience in human resources. His career began when he worked at Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower, dealing with labor issues and policies. Prior to joining Kimia Farma, he served as the Senior Vice President Strategy Human Capital at PT Pegadaian, a state-owned enterprise providing financial services.

Mr. Anung has also held senior HR positions at several other companies, including Telkomsel (Indonesia's largest mobile network operator), PT Avrist Assurance (a joint venture life insurance company), PT Trakindo Utama (the authorized dealer of Caterpillar equipment in Indonesia), Holcim Indonesia (a subsidiary of the largest cement producer in Indonesia), PT Sentra Usahatama Jaya (the largest sugar producer in Indonesia), and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting (a global consulting firm).

He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Colorado Denver and a BA in Political Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

Welcome Atty. Leah P. Laja-Otto, Executive Officer of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) of the Philippines. She will be the Keynote Speaker at the 8th HR Technology Congress Asia for the Reskilling, Upskilling, and Transformation Session.

Atty. Laja-Otto has 15 years of experience serving in the Supreme Court of the Philippines (Supreme Court PH) and currently holds a crucial position in the JBC. The JBC is responsible for carefully screening and recommending appointees to the Supreme Court and other judicial positions in the country. Atty. Laja-Otto oversees the integrity and dignity of the selection process, aiming to enhance the quality of search, screening, and nomination procedures while protecting them from undue external influences.

As a key leader of the JBC, she advocates for improving the quality of search, screening, and selection procedures in line with technological advancements and innovations under the Supreme Court Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations (SPJI). Her influence extends to the creation and development of the rules and procedures in the selection and nomination processes, demonstrating her significant impact on the nation's judiciary.

Atty. Laja-Otto also plays a vital role in promoting judicial education. She encourages judicial applicants and incumbent judges to participate in the programs offered by the Philippine Judicial Academy (The Judicial Academy Philippines) to foster excellence in the legal profession. In addition to her judicial duties, she teaches courses such as "Problem Areas in Legal Ethics" at the Arellano University School of Law, highlighting her dedication to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals.

Welcome Mr. Amardeep Singh Toor, a Partner in the Employment & Industrial Relations practice at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, the sole Malaysian member of international legal networks Multilaw and Interlaw. He will be a Highlight Speaker on Malaysia Employment Law at the 8th HR Technology Congress Asia!

Amardeep handles both litigation and advisory matters on all aspects of employment and industrial relations law. He regularly represents employers in unjust dismissal and trade dispute claims at the Industrial Court (Mahkamah Perusahaan Malaysia), as well as in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court.

Amardeep provides regular advice on areas including retrenchment and reorganization exercises, transfer exercises, restructuring senior management positions, voluntary and mutual separation schemes, sexual harassment, misconduct and disciplinary proceedings, performance management and review, and the development of employment documentation and policies. He also advises corporate clients on immigration laws, the management of foreign workers and expatriates, as well as employment-related tax laws in Malaysia.

Amardeep has been recognized as a “Next Generation Partner” by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2024, “Up & Coming” by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2024 (Chambers and Partners), and “Rising Star” by Asialaw 2023/2024 in the field of Labor and Employment. He is often commended for his outstanding communication skills, quality of work, timeliness, and pragmatic approach. Amardeep was also recommended by The Legal 500 for immigration law and the management of foreign workers. He recently won “Young Lawyer of the Year” in the Asian Legal Business Awards – Malaysia 2024 (Thomson Reuters) and received an Honorable Mention in the “Malaysia Lawyer of the Year” category in Asialaw’s Client Choice Awards 2023. He was also recognized as a “Rising Star” in Asian Legal Business – Malaysia 2022. This is an annual listing of lawyers under the age of 40 who are delivering high-quality work and earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors, and clients.

Amardeep contributed to the Malaysian Chapter of the Chambers Employment 2023 Global Practice Guide, has contributed several articles to the Industrial Law Reports published by The Malaysian Current Law Journal (CLJ), and is a regular speaker at the national Industrial Relations Law Conference and Malaysian Employment Law Conference. He is also a member of the Malaysian Bar Council’s Industrial & Employment Law Committee and chairs the Practitioner Issues sub-committee.

A graduate of the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol), and a member of The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, Amardeep was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2012 (The Bar Council). He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2013.

Since 2017, she has also been the Vice-President of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Industries (VASI), contributing to its establishment and growth.

Mrs. Huong's academic background is as impressive as her professional one, with a degree in electrical automation, law, and economics, and a master's degree in Economic and Public Policy from the KDI - Korea Development Institute's KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
