Free The Land—Thursday, August 21, 2025
Join us to reimagine the Figueroa corridor by transforming problematic motels that contribute to violence, addiction, and crime. Our community needs housing, jobs, green spaces, senior centers, youth centers, and more. Together we can build a community that is safe to eat, sleep, work,
and play!

Join Congressmember Sydney Kamlager-Dove for a Critical Telephone Town Hall: Exposing the Big Ugly Bill

📅 Thursday, July 24 | 🕕 6:00 PM PT

Congressmember Kamlager-Dove is outraged that the current administration has pushed through their Big Ugly Bill — slashing healthcare and food assistance for millions, adding $3.5 trillion to the national debt, and handing out tax cuts to billionaires. That’s why she’s hosting a Telephone Town Hall to get the word out.

The right is working hard to keep folks in the dark. It’s more important than ever to get informed and take action. This legislation will have devastating consequences for our communities with over 400,000 people on Medicaid in her district (California’s 37th District) at risk of losing their benefits

Special guest includes Xavier Becerra, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, will also be joining to provide context and answer your questions. Let’s show up and get informed.

✅ Register for the event here or watch it live on Congressmember Kamlager-Dove’s page.

* A community march to Florence & Normandie
* A call to action
* A next steps discussion

Together, we will reclaim our streets.

✊🏾 We demand ICE OUT OF SOUTH CENTRAL!
Since the first wave of raids on June 6, communities across Los Angeles have mobilized in powerful, unified resistance. Instead of tearing us apart, Trump’s federal invasion has brought Angelenos together—driven by love and solidarity—to document abuses, warn the public, and support families forced into hiding.
Masked and armed men, with no badges or names, have been abducting our neighbors, friends, and loved ones—at bus stops, in parking lots, in parks, and on our streets.

More than 58,000 people from across the U.S. have been kidnapped and detained, two thirds (the vast majority) do not have a criminal record. These deplorable actions have ripped families apart, forced people into hiding and shut down our businesses.
They continue to use terror tactics to turn our streets and neighborhoods places of fear and intimidation. But we remain steadfast in our support and solidarity. We remain loud, unified and impossible to ignore.

Our streets are not for ICE. On July 10th, we continue reclaiming our streets from fear and hate. We are reclaiming our streets to honor our loved ones who have been stolen from our communities, for our children to play and for celebration and resistance.

At Reclaim Our Streets actions neighbors will gather to honor the lives of our loved ones who have been stolen through art, music and altars and processions in their honor.

For a month, armed men in masks and without badges or names and who refuse to identify themselves, have been abducting our neighbors, friends and loved ones at bus stops, in parking lots, at parks and on the streets

Since Trump’s federal invasion of LA on June 6, over 1,600 Angelenos throughout the region have been taken from us, detained and deported. These deplorable actions have ripped families apart, forced people into hiding and shut down our businesses.

We will not stop fighting until every single loved one who has been stolen is home.
