Earlier this month, the incredible voiceover legend, Noriko Ohara (小原乃梨子), who was known for her iconic voice as Nobita in 'Doraemon' from 1979 to 2005, passed away at the age of 88. With her captivating performances in 'Future Boy Conan' (1978), 'Super Dimension Fortress Macross' (1982), 'Yatterman' (1977), and many others, her talent and grace touched the hearts of many generations.

Her contributions to the world of anime and her remarkable ability to convey emotions through her voice will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and countless fans worldwide. Thank you, Noriko Ohara, for the unforgettable memories and your immense contributions to the arts. Rest in peace. 🌹🎙️❤️🙏

Today, we honor the legend of cinema's first female action hero, Cheng Pei-pei (鄭佩佩), who passed away at 78 on July 17th, 2024. Known for her captivating performances in films like Mulan (2020), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Flirting Scholar (1993), and many others, her talent and grace deeply touched many.

Today we’d like to highlight this Hong Kong action movie- “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In (2024)”!

This story sets the background at Kowloon walled city, the ungoverned enclave during the British Hong Kong era. It used to be the most densely populated area in the world, and the lifestyle here was intertwined with a wide range of individuals who were not accepted by mainstream society. Lok-Kwan, a mainland Chinese stowaway, looks for every opportunity to earn money in order to purchase a fake Hong Kong identification card. After offending the mobster, he gets tracked down and eventually settles in the walled city of Kowloon. However, his arrival set off the grievances and hatreds involving two generations in the besiegedTe city, and a destructive page-turning of history would begin.

Kowloon walled city represents a critical part of Hong Kong history. This is definitely my favorite action movie of this year! What is your favorite action movie? Feel free to share your thoughts!
