MEET THE CAST of “archy & mehitabel” !!!

This dark comedy is a gem in the canon of musical theatre that many consider to have been lost to time- if it has even been considered at all!

Rarely has this play been seen, only having graced the Broadway stage in 1957 for less than 50 performances starring Eartha Kitt. And Chita Rivera was her understudy!

The tale of “archy & mehitabel” lives on, and is now revived, running at the Broadwater Black Box for a limited time, grab your tickets now before it’s too late!

One night only!

Foster Cat Productions is hosting a wildfire fundraiser at the in Sherman Oaks on February 20th at 8pm.

Featuring Emmy-winner Tracy Newman (Ellen, Cheers), Governing member of AMPAS Gerald Quist (Tropic Thunder, Star Trek: TNG), founding member of the Groundlings Phyllis Katz, Comedy rap duo , LA theatre group , and two very talented writers and !

These special guests will be joining us on the stage to perform some songs, some original, some not, and some fully improvised! Writers will be featuring some of their work as well.

Foster Cat Productions is eager to bring the theatre community together in the name of wildfire relief. We will be asking for donations during this event for , and there will be other options for you to support as well. ALL money donated will go to your charity of choice.

As artists who love animals, we want to spread awareness for the practical and easy steps it take to help our furry friends in Los Angeles. Best Friends Animal Society ( ) provides support to many non-profits and animal rescues. They have foster programs for both cats and dogs and offer countless resources to protect and enrich the lives of animals in need. Their mission, No-Kill 2025, aims to eliminate kill shelters nationwide and this can be a possibility with enough support from people like you.

Stephen Sondheim’s Putting It Together is about all the different ways we express love in our lives, and we are happy to be extending this love in the show towards our animal friends who need our support. Come join us!

On Friday night cat expert Samantha Bell () will be there share with everyone ways we can all help!

Featuring some of his most famous songs from shows like Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods, and pairing them with his more unknown gems like his Oscar-winning song which cannot be seen in any other live musical, Putting It Together creates an all new story with songs you love about the complexities of modern relationships.

Presented by Academy Award-winner Jonathan Sanger whose work includes David Lynch’s The Elephant Man and Mel Brooks’ The Producers, along with Broadway producer Jan McAdoo who is currently producing The Roommate on Broadway!

This is a musical benefit event for Best Friends Animal Society - a portion of all money raised goes towards this nonprofit dedicated to funding shelters throughout LA. Tickets are only $25!

ACT ONE is a world premiere of a new translation of the forgotten play, Desire Caught by the Tail by Pablo Picasso. Translation by

ACT TWO consists of two short plays. In TRAGEDY: A Tragedy, Will Eno, who the New York Times called “Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation,” documents a news team as they struggle to report on night falling.

Absurdist Theatre: Picasso and others opens next weekend at in Hollywood! One weekend only!

These plays are relevant now more than ever… this evening chronologizes the history of theatre of the absurd from the 1940s when Picasso wrote out his frustrations of wartime, to present day in Will Eno’s tragic masterpiece about a news station falling apart as they document the end of the world as we know it. These pieces join us together and help us find comfort despite the darkness we may find around us.

Desire Caught by the Tail by Pablo Picasso is coming to Hollywood!

This rarely seen and oft-forgotten play was written by Picasso in a fever as he was holed up in France during World War II. It chronicles the exploits of novelist Bigfoot and his community of misfits as they explore their desires to their fullest extent.

Did you know that PABLO PICASSO, the world’s most famous painter, also happened to dabble once in the art of playwriting? His plays are rarely produced and often considered “unstageable”.

Well, now’s your chance to check out Pablo Picasso’s short play “Desire Caught by the Tail” in a brand new never before seen translation by paired up with two other short absurdist plays. This production tracks the growth of absurdist playwriting from 1941 to the 21st century.

The evening also features “Tragedy: a tragedy” by Pulitzer Prize-finalist Will Eno and one other surprise short play.

Playing at the Hobgoblin Playhouse in Hollywood, CA. Tickets start at $30. Link in bio!
