On Sunday November 10, the much-anticipated first annual Gurus 2024 Awards, presented by Gurus Magazine unfolded in Los Angeles with a Parisian theme, setting a new standard for celebrations of beauty, wellness, and authentic living. This landmark event honored trailblazers who are reshaping our perceptions of beauty and wellness by prioritizing transparency, passion, and purpose.

Held at the luxurious SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills, the evening brought together an impressive lineup of distinguished guests and honorees. Each guest embodied the essence of what it means to be a “guru” in their respective fields, from wellness to entertainment, fashion, and philanthropy.

But there was one person missing! Due to prior work commitments in Paris, Americas most beloved Dermatologist and TV personality @drsandralee aka @drpimplepopper 🎉 WON 🎉 The Gurus “Social Media Star of The Year” Award for her commitment to education and community! We are thrilled to honor her commitment to her audience world wide. Dr Sandra Lee who was on the cover of @gurusmagazine May issue. In it she talks about the effect her voice brings to kids. “First of all, one of the best thing about what I do has to do with the kids who come to my office on their birthday, or spring break, or vacation to meet me because they want to be the next pimple popper or surgeon or dermatologist,” says Dr. Lee. “That is the most rewarding aspect for me. My advice would be to be yourself but be kind, be good to other people, and do what you love“. During our pre show Hollywood Beauty Guru @robyn.newmark gave Gurus #beautyawards for Sustainability, Clean Beauty, Design and an array of catagories to some incredible companies who operate with integrity and have the same philosophy as @gurusmagazine .. truth, passion and authenticity
The final award of our pre show was very special because it wasn’t for a product. It was a creator. They encapsulate what it is to be a true #GURU … this person has been a pivotal member of our team and has given their time, energy and gifts to help build our community into what it is today.
