When he was still a volunteer teacher to Lumad children, Chad Booc eloquently wrote a 2019 Facebook post about the significant and deeper meaning behind the traditional burial of the Lumads. And despite the tragic death of this young activist more than a year ago, we wish to keep these beautiful words of his alive by turning them into our second Words That Animate.
Through our own small way, our humble platform also honors Chad Booc’s memory by declaring him as our newest Badass Influencer. After watching this video, go to www.hirayamedia.com to read more about Booc’s legacy of fighting for and protecting the history, dignity, and sacred roots of our indigenous people.
Hiraya Media would like to sincerely thank the Booc Family for allowing us to do this tribute for Chad.

As we await the impending election of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines, we want to remind you that in video games, we can’t always defeat the final boss in one try.
Sometimes, we have to pause, regroup and reorganize, and fight again.

People's HR presents #BantayBoto
We have voted and exhausted all means of campaigning for the candidates we believe will change the country. So where do our votes go? How do I know they are counted? Join us as we gather the night before the elections virtually to talk about vote vigilance and how we can protect our votes.
People's HR presents #BantayBoto
Technology has allowed us to order groceries, food, and clothing very conveniently and while most of us rely on the internet to acquire information on current events - sometimes for fear of missing out, most of the time for information gathering, the dawn of the digital space has opened opportunities for politicians to utilize the vast virtual world to further their campaigning and ultimately, aid on their win in an election. In this conversation we will talk about politics and campaigning on digital.
People's HR presents #BantayBoto
The irony in democracy is while the minority is not enough to win an election, numbers wise, they are one of the main reasons why democracy exists. Ang mahinang boses ng minorya ang pinapalakas ng demokrasya.
People’s HR presents #BantayBoto: The Youth's Vote
The necessity of earning money for basic things like food, house, and clothes has become a challenge for normal Filipinos as we battle with employment issues that stem from government inefficiencies. At the heart of it are the younger folks who make up 27% of the workforce population. As this election directly affects their livelihood, we spark the conversation on how it changes the way the youth vote.
People’s HR presents: #BANTAYBOTO
As we continuously deliberate on who we think the best candidates are for the highest positions in the land, we look back on the history of our rights to vote as a society while we also look ahead to the future by ensuring we know that we are making the right decisions for ourselves and for the country.

Hiraya Media’s #LibraryHours is sort of like Oprah’s Book Club but making it Filipino 😉 It’s our way of introducing and supporting different Filipino authors and their books that we think you should read! 📚
In this week’s live, we had Liza Gino who penned a Hiraya Media articled called, “Ok Lang” and is the author of the novel,"Imelda's Secret". We loved having her over to talk about #FilipinaComfortWomen, women empowerment, writing, and everything else in between! 💜
See you again on the next #LibraryHours!
