An American Airlines regional jet CRJ700 crashed into the Potomac River following a collision with a helicopter over DC Wednesday night. The FAA confirmed the collision was with a Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopter next to DCA airport in Washington as the plane was heading into land. There were 60 passengers and 4 crew aboard the plane, which originated in Wichita. There were 3 soldiers aboard the US Army helicopter, which was on a training flight, and flew out of Fort Belvoir.
