Please help! I added these shelves and I hate the color. I’m thinking about re-staining them, but don’t know what color. I also have no idea how to style it.

I would love some advice on how to handle this cubby hole above the kitchen sink! I would love to have a new kitchen but that’s not in the cards right now. This cubby hole/shelf is slightly lesst than 6” deep and 9” high, 26” wide. It’s a weird storage space!

My brother made a carved wooden bed for my husband and me. He knew I love anything unusual, so he spent almost 6 months making it. I usually make him happy with my handmade stuff, if he likes something from my store in Tedooo app, it goes straight to him. And I'm so happy that it's mutual and he's always ready to make me happy too. Appreciate your brothers and sisters😍😍😍😍

We just bought this house in November it was built in 1915. The basement has never been renovated as far as the previous owners know. The flooring has tested positive for asbestos. Is it in the tile or the adhesive underneath? I am worried because some of the tiles are cracked or missing pieces. We have four kids and most of the toys are in the basement I want to get this replaced ASAP. Is it safe for them to be down there right now?

After John left this world and some grieving time had passed, I gave most of his clothes to the men's shelter in Panama City and to the Goodwill in Matthews N.C. However, though I didn't know at that time what I'd do with some of his favorite pieces of clothing , I saved them. Right before Hurricane Michael I decided I'd start cutting squares from shirts, pants, shorts, bathrobe, jeans, and painters pants. I cut out appliqués from hats he wore, some of his favorite shirts and even his golf club head covers. Over 600 4” squares cut by hand. After moving I decided to make a quilt with the squares... because I saw on my tedooo app that other needleworkers are doing it and even helping those who can't do it themselves and customizing. And I thought to myself - great way to keep me warm in Wisconsin cold winters! There are 529 squares in the quilt and another 32 in the throw pillow. Finally it is finished...one of the projects I've done that I'm most proud of. His favorite clothing will warm my heart and body from my toes to my chin.

We just purchased this super comfy sectional we love- except for those tiny corner area. This backs to our open concept kitchen/living and we hate this funky curve gap. What can we put here to make it look good and functional and fill in this weird space

When I first got divorced I had been a stay at home mom for 22 years. I worked odd jobs here and there. I was able to get my foot in the medical field door, because of Covid everywhere was hiring. I got my kids and I a tiny little trailer with a hole in the ceiling, an old washer and dryer that was outside, and pack rats coming in from under it. 14 months ago I was finally able to move my kids and I into a two bedroom apartment with no washer and dryer. But I felt like we hit the lottery!! I told them the next time we moved it would be into one of the the three bedrooms with a washer and dryer.
I have slept on a couch in the living room for three years so my kids could have the bedrooms, washed clothes outside in the heat and the cold, lugged laundry baskets to the laundry mat….
But today…. today, we got the keys to one of those beautiful, three bedroom apartments that has a washer and dryer INSIDE!!!
Today my daughter told me she’s proud of me…
Today I got my own bedroom with a door I can shut so I can be alone. Today, I got a bed.
Today, I am proud of me, and I am proud of my kids for sticking it out and never complaining that where they lived wasn’t good enough.
I did it with no family to help me, it’s been my kids and I the whole way. I have also had so many great friends along the way. And I still do.

I have a side cupboard next to the microwave where I store seasonings but I have to dig through them to find what I'm looking for. I don't want them out on the counter or on the stove. What can I do to make it easier to get to?

Edit: I would love a lazy susan but it won't fit. I like on the counter storage ideas but everything gets pretty dusty out on the counter so might just try the bins and organize better or the step solution. Thanks all! :)

Edit again: I found 7" lazy susans on AMAZON which will be perfect.
