Have you ever heard of the tale of two wolves? It’s a powerful story that teaches us about the inner conflict we all face, and how we can find balance and peace within ourselves. 😇🐺😈
According to the tale, an old Cherokee man tells his grandson that there is a battle between two wolves inside every person. One wolf is evil, full of anger, envy, jealousy, greed, and resentment. The other wolf is good, full of love, joy, peace, kindness, generosity, and faith. The grandson asks his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?” The old man replies, “The one you feed.”
This story reminds us that we have a choice in how we live our lives. We can either feed the negative wolf, and let it consume us with darkness and misery, or we can feed the positive wolf, and let it fill us with light and happiness. The choice is ours. 💫
But there is another version of this story, that offers a deeper wisdom. In this version, the old man says that both wolves win if you feed them right. He explains that if you starve one wolf, the other will become imbalanced and overpowering. But if you feed both wolves, in the right way, at the right time, they will live in harmony and help you serve the Great Spirit within. 🙏
This version teaches us that we need to embrace both sides of our nature, and not deny or suppress any part of ourselves. We need to acknowledge and accept our flaws, our fears, our weaknesses, and our mistakes, as well as our strengths, our hopes, our talents, and our achievements. We need to integrate our shadow and our light, and find the balance that leads to wisdom. 🌟
