My fiancé and I had been planning our wedding for a few months, and I would often video call him to show flower options or cake designs. On the day everything went down, he answered my call while driving to his friend's place for a video game night.
He looked happy to see me, and I was about to start excitedly talking about new flower arrangements for the tables. But just then, the sun hit his sunglasses at the right angle, and the words caught in my throat. I saw a reflection in his glasses. He was too busy driving to notice my pale face. A WEEK AGO, MY HOUSE WAS ROBBED, AND TODAY, MY SON (WHO DOESN’T HAVE A JOB) BOUGHT HIMSELF A SPORTS CAR.
I've been living in this house for 20 years with my son, ever since my husband left us. My son is 25, unemployed, and never finished college.
All the money I've saved over the years has been put aside to pay off debts and loans, as raising him on my own has made debt a constant in my life.
Well, a week ago, that money was stolen. My son kept reassuring me, saying he'd find out who did it, but let's be real—how? The most shocking part came yesterday when I saw my son getting into a sports car! When I asked him how he could afford it, he said, "I've got a job I didn't tell you about." Total lie! I didn't believe him for a second. My gut told me he stole my money and bought that car.
We got into a huge argument and he drove off, so I followed him to see what his "new job" was about. ⬇️

OUR DAUGHTER TRIED TO TURN OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY TRIP INTO HER FREE VACATION WITH BABYSITTING SERVICE, SO I STEPPED IN.
My wife and I had planned our 40th anniversary trip for years—a romantic getaway for just the two of us. Then our daughter Jane found out.
Jane: "Mom, how could you leave us out? The kids adore you! Imagine how hurt they'd be if you went without them."
Me: "Jane, this trip is for us. It's our anniversary."
Jane: "Dad, come on! We never do family trips. What, are you going to ditch your grandkids?"

WE TOOK IN A HOMELESS MAN FOR THE WINTER — BEFORE LEAVING, HE LEFT US A PACKAGE.
For months, I saw Jeff, a homeless man outside work. He never begged, looked clean but shabby, and he repaired shoes — including mine. That's when I learned he was kind, educated, and mostly stayed in shelters.
One freezing night, I found him holding a package in a closing café.
Me: "Jeff, got a place to stay?"
Jeff: "No luck with the shelter, but I'll manage."
Worried, I offered him a bed in our basement. He hesitated but agreed. The next morning, we woke up to the smell of breakfast. Jeff was cooking while my kids laughed at his jokes. Later, I noticed he had fixed everything that had been broken in the basement and cleaned our shoes. I nervously asked my husband if we could offer Jeff a place for the winter. I FOUND A PHONE NUMBER & A NOTE SAYING, "THIS IS BETWEEN US. NO ONE ELSE CAN KNOW," IN MY HUSBAND'S COAT — I BLUFFED TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT.
Although I was happy in my marriage, balancing my family life and my work as a photographer was always a delicate dance. One morning, the kids were playing, and Denton had left for work, tossing an old coat onto the donation pile the night before. "Just clearing out clutter," he'd said casually.
As I sorted through the pile, I felt something in the coat's pocket — a small, folded note. The handwriting was neat but hurried, and it sent a chill through me:
"THIS IS BETWEEN US. NO ONE ELSE CAN KNOW."
On the back was a phone number.
I froze, questions racing through my mind. Who wrote this? What was James hiding? That night, I acted normal, even as the note burned in my pocket. James laughed with the kids and kissed me goodnight as if nothing was wrong.
The next morning, after he left, I dialed the number.
"Hello?" a woman answered.
"I'D LIKE TO BOOK YOUR SERVICES!" I blurted, unsure if my bluff would work.
"If you have my number, you know the payment terms," she replied. "Come tomorrow at 2 p.m." And she gave me the address.
The next afternoon, as I stepped out of the taxi at 2 p.m., I was taken aback. "This is not at all what I expected," I thought, climbing the steps.⬇️

I found red wax in the keyhole on my front door.I don’t have anything on my key that would do this, but I did notice some on the tip after I took the key out when locking up this morning. A little concerned that someone may have been messing with my lock last night. Any idea ⁉
