The City of Long Beach celebrated the grand reopening of the Ramona Park Signature Playground on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
The Aquatic themed playground features a whale tale climbing station, educational elements, shaded areas, additional seating and everyone’s favorite, the water fog mister.
Playground and park enhancements were made possible by resident input at City held community input meetings. Funding was made possible by the Elevate 28’ Infrastructure Initiative, California State Parks and Measure A.

Election Day is almost here! Vote in person at any Los Angeles County vote center or submit your ballot at any of the 20 Drop Box locations throughout Long Beach.

Guess what everyone, LBTV won Content Creator of the Year for the 2025 Capio Star Awards!
The Capio Awards recognize excellence in government video programming through the state of California. And LBTV has come up on top!
In total, LBTV brought home twelve Capio awards including a 1st place win for Community Event coverage for our video about the Long Beach Airports Festival of FLight.
But the big win was for Content Creator of the Year! It’s truly an honor to be recognized with our peers throughout the state.

The Video Communications Division, which manages LBTV, is a division of the Technology and Innovation Department of the City of Long Beach. In addition to producing original content, the Video Communications Division is also responsible for handling customer cable complaints and insures that the work performed by the cable provider is satisfactory.
