Well, this weeks show was great but also surreal in many ways. Our focus on the program is always about the music, light hearted conversation, and even comedy, (generally). But this particular show was different. As the world knows, many parts of Southern California were on fire and many parts are still on fire as of today, January 10 2025. This weeks show has been dubbed “The Wild Fire Show”, and not in a funny or comedic way. This tragic and frightening situation is effecting us and everyone we know here in the Los Angeles area and will continue to do so for weeks and months to come. We’re encouraging our listeners to donate to the Pasadena Humane Society https://pasadenahumane.org to help with the inundation of helpless, injured, and frightened animals in that area.
We’d like to thank our friend Andy Smith of Peeling Grey / Khanada for sharing with us his first hand account of the fires and having to evacuate! And thank you to the incredible bands that create the music we play here on the show. Music is what brings us together and that’s exactly what we need right now - unity.
