This guy was a big influence for me and I would bet for many Texas Song Writers. So incredibly talented. Came to my house a couple of times on our Guitar B-Q’s with Doak Turner and was just a great guy. Billy Joe Shaver. We even got to hang out a bit with his daughter when she was with Alex Harvey.  lotta talent in that family.  I would sure love to see the statue go up on his behalf and in his memory. Please do what you can.
