Snow and Windy Conditions Today...

Scattered light snow showers will continue through midday with little in the way of snow accumulation. An area of more steady
snowfall is then expecting to drop southward across southwest Lower Michigan, northwest Indiana, and portions of north central Indiana this afternoon into early this evening. Slushy snow accumulations of an inch or two are possible this afternoon. While most of this accumulation will be across grassy areas and elevated surfaces, some slick spots are possible on roadways today into the
evening commute. The combination of snow and gusty west southwest
winds this afternoon to 25 to 35 mph will also reduce visibilities to around one half of a mile at times. Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for variable travel
conditions this afternoon into early this evening.

..Snow likely on Thursday with windy conditions...

Scattered light snow showers are expected to develop tonight, but
little in the way of snow accumulation is expected. Widespread
snow is then expected to overspread the area on Thursday. Slushy
snow accumulations of an inch or two are expected Thursday. It
will also become windy on Thursday with west to southwest gusts to
30 to 35 mph. The combination of snow and windy conditions may
result in limited visibilities at times. With initially warmer
ground conditions and temperatures hovering around the freezing
mark, confidence remains low in how much snow will accumulate on
roadways Thursday, but motorists should be alert to the
possibility of some slick conditions during the period of greatest
snowfall rates from midday Thursday through late Thursday
afternoon.

A holiday tradition returns! 🎠

The Cass County Community Foundation's “Thanks-for Giving” Grant will provide funds to be used to pay the expenses for the Carousel’s Friday and Saturday opening after the Thanksgiving holiday and will allow all rides to be free.

The Carousel will be open both Friday, November 29, and Saturday November 30, 2024 from 1-5 p.m.
