We know it's not grammatically correct. But read it again - out loud if you want to. We'll wait. 😉

We started CassCountyCalendar.com back in 2009 because people kept saying there was nothing to do around here, and we knew that wasn't correct either. There just wasn't a central location to find information.

So we invited people to help us make a list of all the things to do by adding the upcoming events they were planning to CassCountyCalendar.com.

And that list has been growing ever since!

There are a couple of brand-new events happening in September, including Oktoberfest and the Horney Creek Fest, both in downtown Logansport. There are car shows, craft shows, fish and tenderloin dinners, community breakfasts, live music, resource fairs, carousel rides and more, all packed into four short weeks and two days.

A big thank you to the community members who plan these events!

If your upcoming event isn't listed yet, we always have room for more - you can use this link to add the details:
https://casscountycalendar.com/submit-an-event/

New events are added almost every day so check back often to see what's coming up.

And, if someone asks you about things to do in our community, tell them to check out CassCountyCalendar.com or the Cass County INFO app!

As always, lots of live music this weekend! https://casscountycalendar.com/live-music

..Heat indices to approach 100 degrees today...

The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will cause heat indices to climb into the mid to upper 90s this afternoon into this evening. If you plan to be outside today, take extra breaks, wear light fitting clothing and drink plenty of water. Pour cool water on your head to help you cool off if needed.

The heat will have more of an acute impact on the more vulnerable including newborns, children, the elderly, those who are pregnant and those with chronic illnesses. The impact from the heat and humidity may be lessened by clouds and showers.

Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly

Calling all foodies, food activists, food enthusiasts, food consumers— You are invited!
August 29, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Empower Juice and Yoga in Logansport.

Our state is embarking on the exciting project of creating a statewide food vision for Indiana. The Indiana Food Vision will be a strategic road map for cultivating a robust, nourishing, and equitable food system where all communities in Indiana thrive. The Indiana Food Vision is a ‘by the people for the people’ effort to center the voices of Hoosiers who eat, grow or buy food in Indiana – that means YOU! This focus group is for all eaters in Indiana who want to have a voice in shaping our future.

During the meeting we will think about different food values for different people, share our thoughts on what is working, what an ideal food system looks like, and where you might invest if you had lots of money to spend on making it better!
Join the thousands of Hoosiers who will contribute their thoughts and experiences to shape the food vision for Indiana.
