THE TWO-WEEK FOOD DRIVE FOR EMMAUS ENDED THIS MORNING WITH OVER A THOUSAND BOXES OF CEREAL FOR THE EMMAUS MISSION IN LOGANSPORT. EMMAUS DIRECTOR JASON MITCHELL IS THRILLED TO SEE WHAT THE COMMUNITY HAS CONTRIBUTED AND THANKS EVERYONE. AT LEAST HALF OF THE LOAD WAS ACCUMULATED THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF THE INDIVISIBLE MOVEMENT, THEIR VOLUNTEERS LED BY KERRY WORTHINGTON RAISED NEARLY $700 AND PURCHASED 650 BOXES OF CEREAL FOR EMMAUS. THERE WERE ALSO DONATIONS OF BOX FOODS MADE DURING THE TWO-WEEK CAMPAIGN. THE FOOD DRIVE IS NEEDED TO ACCOMMODATE THE DEMAND FOR FOOD DURING SUMMER VACATION. THE EMMAUS MISSION HAS OVER 4400 CASS COUNTY RESIDENTS QUALIFIED TO RECEIVE FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS.
