*11 issues every fall and spring semester. No issues during holiday breaks.
*Issues are distributed weekly on Thursdays.
*Eagle Eye is on summer break and is NOT ACTIVE from the months of May through August. No experience is necessary. OPINION PIECES: If you have
an opinion you would like to be published, send it to [email protected]. You must provide your first and last name for articles to be published in the Eagle Eye. We will not publish letters under pseudonyms or as anonymous. HOW TO START WRITING OR WORKING FOR THE EAGLE EYE:
Show up for meetings or sign up to be on the email list. Meetings are Thursday nights at 5pm in the lower PUB newsroom. (down the hall from the Game Room)
Deadlines are important! The writer has from Thursday night until the specified deadline for the section (usually Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon) to send the story to [email protected] or [email protected] as an attached word document from their email. OPPORTUNITY TO BE AN EDITOR:
Every writer for the Eagle Eye has the opportunity to advance and be on the editorial staff/Advertising team. (Writing alone looks good for a portfolio. To be apart of the editorial team looks nice too, it's a great experience!) Every year we usually have editors that graduate and then positions that need filled.
