The national reading test scores haven't improved in two decades, and the gap between socioeconomic groups remains evident. While recent reform efforts have focused on crucial foundational skills, more needs to be done to close the knowledge gap.

With around 130,000 students and 200 schools, it can be challenging to meet ever-changing standards, retain teachers, and meet all of the needs of their diverse student population.

Learn how Erin worked with XanEdu to create a customized social studies book that met the required state legislation and standards while providing factual and high-quality instructional materials that included local history and landmarks.
