Sometimes when you make an error/mistake, you may end up having a good idea while under deadline pressure.
And while I didn’t write anything up about the history of The Circuit (Asbury Park), which is a weekly Thursday Night Cruise, it’s not a professionally organized event. It’s a night where people just happened to agree upon coming down to show off and cruise. Everyone is welcome, BUT... Don’t come to The Circuit and think you can do burnouts, act like an ass, be rude, or try and do a takeover. The Police make their presence known, and are cool with what is going on currently.
So... welcome to a new rotating feature, which may become a regular feature, Cruise Nights USA. And if my Canadian friends would like to throw something my way, I’ll be glad to run their Cruise Nights as well.

I want to thank Jason Millsaps and his team at Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management /Terri Strozier and her team at The Lone Star Convention & Expo Center for putting this meeting together.

As most know we had our meeting today with the Montgomery County EMC/DHS Jason Millsaps about the 2025 event. We were offered our contract for the 2025 Lone Star Throwdown. After long conversations with the venue itself and Jason moving forward there will be changes to the event itself and what happens within the community after hours. We were informed that the event will be monitored starting Friday of the event. If any major incidents occur on Friday they can and will shut our event down Saturday. With that being said people need to start policing themselves and others they choose to hang out with that weekend. The issue isn’t the group of guys that hang out at the hotel etc after the event. The issue is the destruction of businesses and the lack of respect for authority. The incidents that we were made aware of was patrol unit tire being slashed, urinating on and around the patrol units, attempting to remove an individual from a patrol unit that was in custody, stealing mobility scooters from the business, stealing the stop signs, damaging of landscaping, and the list went on. It was disheartening hearing that people behaved this way. Then what makes the situation worse is that the individuals that behaved this way were ok with their behavior. Accountability needs to happen in order for us to continue the event we have all poured our hearts into. Not just us as promoters but also the vendors, participants, and spectators. The amount of support we have received has shown we all have a stake in it. It also showed us how much we are supported and there are no words to express our gratitude for that. Your support didn’t go unnoticed. We were informed that our social media posts were being monitored. With all that being said we are so appreciative of everyone that has reached out and offering to help us get through this. Again thank you! Lonnie
