Varsity point guard Cooper Ellwood ‘27 shoots in the jungle against the Chaparral High School Wolverines at 7 p.m. Jan 24. The Jags are 1-1 in the 6A/5A Continental League. “I feel good about the game, everyone expected us to get blown out and we were up most of the game. As a team we just need to keep improving and playing together and running towards winning. Definitely see this as a growing point as Chap is a really good team and we proved we can compete and have chances to win. The most challenging portion of the season I would say is the beginning when not everyone knows their roles and how to play together as a team, but now that we are starting to understand it more and more we continue to show improvement,” Ellwood said.
