Due to lingering ice and snow from the recent winter storm, some schools in Pulaski County will remain closed or delay opening tomorrow Friday, February 21st. We will continue to monitor which schools will be closed/delayed and make updates as needed.
Here are the schools that have announced closures so far:

- Scholastic Academy

Many secondary streets remain covered in snow and ice, making travel dangerous.

As a result, all schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 21. Central Office sites, however, will open at 10 AM for 12-month employees.

Sunshine and Cold Temperatures
Today, Pulaski County residents can expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day. However, despite the clear skies, temperatures will remain severely cold with a high of only 27 degrees.

Safety Precautions
While enjoying the sunshine, it's important to remain cautious if you're driving. Many roads are still affected by ice patches. Here are some tips to ensure your safety:
- Drive slowly and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
- Be alert for patches of black ice, especially in shaded areas or on bridges.
- Ensure your vehicle is equipped for winter conditions with appropriate tires and de-icing tools.
- Keep an emergency kit in your car, including blankets, a flashlight, and extra food and water, in case of delays or emergencies.

Due to ice, snow, and extreme cold temperatures, several schools in Pulaski County have announced closures for tomorrow. Please check your email, text, or voicemail for updates from your school. Schools closed so far include:

- Jacksonville North Pulaski SD
- Lisa Academy-West
- Scholastic Academy
- North Little Rock School District
