As Hurricane Beryl pushes through Arkansas, parts of Central Arkansas are dealing with flooding. Tow trucks and North Little Rock PD are pulling out a vehicle that just got stuck on Pershing Blvd and Percy Machin Road. Three other vehicles are currently stuck in these flood waters as well.

Meet this sweetheart, Pip!
Pip is a 2-year-old lab/heeler mix and is full of energy!
She loves to play in the park and go on walks to run out all that energy!

Stratus is a little on the shy side but such a sweet guy!

Atrix, also known as Trixie, is the happiest dog you will ever meet!

Atrix is a lab mix, about 2 years old and on the smaller side.

KATV at Conway Conway Detention Center at noon today as Stacy Drake, wanted out of Oklahoma and Alabama for murder charges, is released into the custody of Oklahoma authorities.

Conway County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Facebook Stacey Drake has been taken into custody.

According to the recent Arkansas State Press release, authorities are still searching for Drake. He is “known to have purchased camping gear and all indications are he is still in the Morrilton area”. Authorities say he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

On June 18 at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Morrilton Police Department received a tip from the State Police that a suspect connected to a double murder in Oklahoma and fled with stolen vehicle, parked at a hotel in Morrilton.

The Arkansas Racing Commission met this morning to decide which applications they would be considering for the Pope County gaming license. They voted to approve the application from Cherokee Nation Entertainment and deny the application from Gulfside Casino Partnership on the grounds that Gulfside did not have approval from local government with their application.

The Dragon Boat Races are back this weekend in Maumelle!
Today, teams are prepping for a full day of racing tomorrow starting at 9 a.m.
Tonight, Vendors, live music, and fireworks will be at Lake Willastein for the community to enjoy.
This event is free and open to the public.
All proceeds and donations will go to benefit the Children’s Protection Agency in Pulaski County giving children who have suffered abuse the resources they need to heal.

KATV Channel 7 received reports of several LRFD fire trucks at the Arkansas State Capitol this evening. We have been told by LRFD officials that there was a fire in the basement cafe. Lots of smoke damage in the cafeteria area and minor fire damage to the kitchen area which is where it started. They tell me the cafe was closed at the time the fire started and the few people that were there were evacuated, no injuries.
