Enjoy Friday's mild temps while they last... Because they won't!! A big cold snap is on the way for the 2nd half of the weekend & early next week.

This will be the coldest air of the season thus far, bringing wind chills into the teens and single digits by Sunday morning.

Highs will likely be in the lower 60s Friday afternoon... Then the colder temperatures start to roll in.

A sprinkle or two may be possible Saturday, but then Sunday into Monday will bring the coldest air of the season so far.

Temps will be mild when we wrap up the work week... Then two cold fronts will pass through, bringing some of the coldest air this winter by early next week.

Some cold, light showers will be possible on Saturday as well. But Sunday looks cold and dry.

HEADS UP: A "wake low" appears to be developing on the back side of this rainfall, kicking up wind gusts to 40-50 mph.

These gusty winds should be brief, helping put an end to the rainfall as we head through the overnight hours.

As the rain slacks off in spots, dense fog is developing.. Here's a look at Hwy 5 south of Mountain View this afternoon.

We're also getting reports of very dense fog along US 65 in the Ozarks, as well as through parts of Newton County.
