This was our very 1st "Paint the Grid Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness magazine. Each year we give back to the Susan G. Komen foundation with the proceeds from this issue. This year it is a little different, as we will be giving back to a classmate and friend of mine that is fighting a really hard battle with Breast Cancer. Misti Newell has been in and out of the hospital for several months now, has had numerous surgeries, and is on Chemo. She has already endured so much, as well as being a single mom that is unable to work during this time. She thankfully does have a wonderful support system of her fiance Casey Blackmon, and many friends and family. She needs some relief, and this is the best way that I know of giving her some relief from the daily financial burdens of not being able to work.
All of the proceeds from this 2024, "Paint the Grid Pink" issue will go to Misti for whatever she feels she needs to use it for. She still has a long journey to go, and I believe as business owners it is our job to give back!
