The Clay Times-Journal is honored (and excited) to announce that we have been awarded 19 Alabama Press Association Awards through the APA Better Newspapers Media Contest.

In addition, we have also been notified by APA that we have won one or more first place awards to be accepted at the Annual Alabama Press Summer Convention at the end of this month.

We work hard every day to deliver the highest quality news to our readers. While we don't do this for the awards, the recognition is an added bonus. Thank you to all of our readers for your continued support of the Clay Times-Journal.

I have been asked numerous times while on the campaign, โ€œWhat happened with the appointment?โ€ To sum up, the appointment was made for political reasons rather than merit or experience. I hope you will share this post to make our friends and neighbors aware of the truth. I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday in the Republican Primary๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโš–๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
