Thank you to Paul Hammel for the amazing article about John Maisch’s book, “WHITECLAY: An American Tragedy,” that John’s widow, Julia, championed and carried over the finish line to publication.
Redbrush could not be more proud to have helped realize Julia‘s vision to see John’s personal and detailed account of the story brought to light.
Those who would like to read a true David versus Goliath story will appreciate reading how John Maisch, an attorney and professor of law, used his legal superpowers for good and brought about significant change. May his example inspire generations of lawyers to come on how to champion the causes and communities that are not always equipped to fight for themselves.
The documentary about John’s mission, “Sober Indian, Dangerous Indian,” is also an important resource for any young people considering a career in law, while being an excellent refresher course for any attorney who needs a hero in their field to admire and emulate.
An e-book and audiobook will soon follow. An extremely limited hardcover, heirloom edition will soon be available directly from Julia Maisch.
Thanks also to the Nebraska Examiner and those news organizations who continue to share the stories that matter most.
