Salvador Hernandez is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of professional experience working in various capacities including family preservation, crisis intervention/stabilization, behavioral intervention, groups, mental health case management, and individual therapy. He will be one of our expert panelists next Tuesday for our Omaha Table Talk on Mental Health Disparities.

Salvador's areas of strength include system impacted youth and families, juvenile justice involved youth, and trauma impacted youth and families. He utilizes culture as a focus point towards well being, as well as, understanding the impact of macro level systems on individual well being.

Salvador is born and raised in Omaha, NE, while spending several years of his life in San Jose, CA.

Manger Baw (from Karen Educational Resources) has a goal of informing and connecting her fellow Karen community members to resources and information from across Omaha and Nebraska. As a young person, Manger has a wealth of knowledge and lived experiences that fuel her passion to help her historically-oppressed people carve out a new pathway going forward.

From her experiences growing up in a refugee camp, to adjusting to life in Nebraska, studying communications in college to now becoming a young professional, Manger shares with us so many powerful thoughts. She gives us historical context about the journey of the Karen people, and she shares strong ideas about how she would like to see the Karen community thrive here in the United States.
