This one’s long so bear with me -

When thinking all day what to write for Nested & Co’s last post, a quote from a movie kept coming up:

“Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts the most…”

And even though quoting a line from a movie may be a bit cheesy, there is so much truth to this -
Starting a business from the ground up is scary, hard, and so much more that only one that has done this understands.
And endings, expected or unexpected, are usually sad. Finding peace in the end of something takes strength to be at peace with it and to be able to move on.
But it is the middle that counts the most - YOU are what counted the most and made Nested what it was … you following along this journey of mine, you supporting this little business, you liking, commenting, and sharing us, you picnicking with us, you ordering charcuterie with us. Being able to meet so many of you and create something special for you and your closest ones is what counted the most.
So when I think Nested, it’s the middle I focus on the most and for the middle, I have you to thank for that🕊

And while Nested & Co will say good-bye, I will not. As a creative, creating will always happen within life. So even though I will spend some time away after this post, I hope you will stay here and see what happens next. Because in entrepreneurship, you never know where this journey will take you and I’m looking forward to sharing what will be next🤍

This post is bittersweet to write. Nearly a year and a half ago, NESTED & CO, a picnic + charcuterie company, became one of the newest faces in the Lincoln, NE small business community. We have enjoyed the successes and trials of starting a new enterprise and have been so grateful for the reception NESTED & CO has received.

At this time however, after months helping provide our guests with memories and unforgettable moments, we are looking to sell NESTED & CO to a buyer interested in continuing to grow its reach and blossom to its full potential.

Lastly, thank you to all our clients and supporters that spread the word about our small business; you are the reason this decision was so difficult. Meeting many of you has been the best part of NESTED & CO.

Make any occasion unforgettable! Did you know that our offerings give couples who book with us the flexibility to choose their own venue? Once a venue has been booked, we will coordinate with the venue on all the important details.🕊

There are a few changes and the main one is we no longer offer charcuterie at N&C, including picnics.

For picnics, you will now be able to bring in your own food to enjoy, whether that be your own built charcuterie + cheese board, one from another charcuterie business or whatever you are feeling like that day of your picnic!

For micro gatherings + micro weddings, you will work with us to create the perfect menu for your event with one of the local food vendors we teamed up with here at N&C. This will give you the ability to have more options than just charcuterie and personalized to your liking.

For anything that was booked(with deposit paid) or purchased before June 30, 2022, including charcuterie, picnics, or gift certificates, we will honor our previous offerings.

We did not take this change lightly when deciding. Thank you for journeying with us as we evolve, grow, and serve you + our amazing Lincoln community best we can🕊

A tween/teen skincare + basic makeup session! On Wednesday, June 29th starting at 6:00pm, Hayley will inform and interactively educate the beginning importance of a solid skincare routine and correct application for minimal makeup for one hour. $30.00 per tween/teen.
