CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

A contractor for the City of Liberty Hill will undertake a project on CR 260 from CR 258 to State Highway 29 today. This work will address wastewater service. CR 260 will remain open, but traffic will be narrowed to one lane in affected areas, with flaggers directing vehicles.

Firefly Aerospace is wrapping up its final preparations ahead of Blue Ghost Mission 1, the company’s first mission to the moon, scheduled to launch on Jan. 15 at 1:11 a.m. EST from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Based on the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to remain above freezing Thursday night through Friday morning. We plan for our schools to be open during normal hours on Friday.

With precipitation falling throughout the night, we encourage families to drive with caution.
