Score of the year so far! Snagged a free complete R200, shafts, and support bars for the 280z. My car has the R180 and will be swapping all of this in as part of my auto to 5 speed conversion. Cool dude local to me is doing an LS swap and suspension setup on his 280z and wanted to clear some space out of his garage. I hope everyone has an awesome day! 😎

I have been waiting on my new .compressor air compressor for the garage for two months. I was surprised to see this sitting in my driveway when I came home today. I’ve experienced first hand how impacted supply chains are several times this year and it has certainly slowed progress on my projects. I’ve been planning an awesome air supply system to feed my garage, workshop, and basement. And plan to cover it in a video or two. I hope every has an awesome weekend!

First upgrade to the Ford Motor Company complete. The BAK Industries Revolver X4S tonneau cover is very sleek and the solid aluminum slats that lock into place will keep whatever I am hauling secure. Installation video with troubleshooting tips will be live on the channel at 4:00 eastern today. ✌️

This video was recorded in September, but I am getting anxious to have the Datsun out more this year.

After all of the repairs and maintenance I have been doing on the Z, it was great to finally take her out for a real drive. Of course there is a lot left to be done before she’s ready to be called a daily. New video goes live at 4:00 eastern today where I take you along for the drive and let you hear the sweet (and loud) sounds of a straight piped L28.

Well, sad to say, but that’s the end of the RX7. Slid off the side of the road trying to miss a squirrel this morning. I think it is too far gone to fix. Probably going to send to scrap. ☹️ too sad to part out so don’t ask.

Yeah buddy! I have been waiting on these, very anxiously I might add, for a while now. Straight from thanks to and I haven’t been this excited for an upgrade in a long time. I need to mount these on the Datsun and take some measurements for tires. I think I will probably need to swap to coilovers first… 🤔

I know it is subjective, but how low has everyone gone with their 240z/260z/280z? Unloaded, it looks like there is about 5.5” of clearance to the floor support rails. It looks like it takes a 5” drop to get the tire to the bottom of the wheel arch. I see most people going to about 3” max on a static suspension but see a lot of wheels in the arch. I need to be able to get over speed humps and driveway curbs. Please share your thoughts and setup. I’m looking to order suspension soon.

I almost forgot… new video will be live on the channel today at 3:00p eastern. I’m making more progress on the brake rebuild and go over the wonky 280z parking brake mechanism.

My mood after finishing a drum brake rebuild on the 280z. The adventure starts today at 3:00 eastern on the YouTube channel. Rust for days 🙃. The short term goal is to get this thing drivable but long term, big brake kits all around.

The BMW F30 chassis and N55 engine will go down as one of the better ones in recent years. I put over 50,000 miles (30,000 of those on a tune) over 5.5 years with no issues other than a valve cover gasket that only happened this past fall. This car always put a smile on my face and I couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel. The fundamental issue I had was lack of space for my family and I am always borrowing someone’s truck. It pained me to let her go, but it was time. The 14th gen is an awesome truck with tons of tech and plenty of room and power. Adulting sucks at times and it’s been a long journey from my beat up 1986 Ford Ranger I got when I was 15.

The final step of my garage makeover is wrapped up with the Garage Flooring Inc.com flexible Nitro tiles. These are awesome and I have been really happy with them. A new video will be out on the channel today at 3:00pm eastern. I haven’t uploaded a video in 20 months and there’s a few things to get everyone up to speed on the builds. YouTube was always just a hobby for me, but it was something I wanted to grow and develop into something that served a purpose, but failed to stay consistent. I’m trying to rectify that now.

I typically avoid posting personal stuff, but today was a hard day. My parents lost their home and all of their belongings to a fire. Fortunately everyone is OK. I learned to turn a wrench and developed my passion for working on automobiles in this house. We can rebuild and replace the physical things, but we lost a lot of keepsakes. Many holidays, summer BBQs, graduations, and good times were spent with my family here. It’s a real punch in the gut. If you would like to help, I have a link below. Not because today is any different from any other day, but it is time for a long overdue fresh start. The last two years have been challenging for many reasons and I have had to push a lot of my projects off of my priority list.
