Radio Eye Radio Eye is also available as an internet stream at www.radioeye.org, on Frankfort Cable channel 2, NFB-Newsline, and the SERO and ooTunes apps.

Radio Eye broadcasts on sub-carrier authorization frequencies of WUKY Public Radio in Lexington, Louisville Public Media, WEKU, and Morehead State Public Radio that allows our listeners to use special pre-tuned radios. We now also have Internet Radios available! These radios allow for the broadcast clarity of listening online but with the ease of use of a traditional radio! To apply for a radio simply fill out the form on our website, at the top of the Listeners page.

Remember that Radio Eye offices will be closed from Saturday, December 21 through Sunday, January 5 so that our staff can spend time with loved ones. We will be playing alternate winter and holiday themed programming throughout, including books such as "Comfort and Joy" by Kristin Hannah, "A Redbird Christmas" by Fannie Flagg, and "Winter Solstice" by Rosamund Pilcher.

Thank you, West Sixth Brewing, for choosing Radio Eye as your November 2024 Sixth for a Cause partner. We really appreciate your dedication to supporting local non-profits and highlighting our work last month, plus we had a great time at our happy hours!

Since we've had a few people ask, Radio Eye is NOT taking part in Good Giving this year because we've been so busy with fundraising for the move. That said, there are still many ways to donate to Radio Eye directly, including on our website or by mailing us a check.

We're almost 60% of the way to our goal and will post an update next week!

Radio Eye volunteers, board members, and staff had a blast volunteering for Bluegrass Runner's 41st Annual Thoroughbred Classic 5K before and on Thanksgiving!

Over the past 15 years, the Bluegrass Runners have given Radio Eye nearly $70,000 to help us be Kentucky's eye on the written word. Please join us in thanking the Bluegrass Runners for all of the good they do in our community!

Radio Eye was delighted to be a sponsor for this year's Kentucky Council of the Blind Annual Conference, which took place November 21-23. Lucy spoke about Radio Eye's updates and future on Friday afternoon, then on Saturday Greta managed the table and got to know the KCB community.

Radio Eye would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lexington Lions Club for nearly two decades of support. The Gifting Night dinner was delightful; Lucy and Alice had a wonderful time reconnecting with the Lions community.

Louisville friends! This Thursday, November 21 is our Louisville happy hour event at West Sixth NuLu from 4 pm until 7 pm. Join staff, volunteers, and board members for a chance to socialize, hear updates about our move, and drink beer to raise money for Radio Eye.

Thank you again to West Sixth Brewing, who chose us as their Sixth for a Cause partner for November. All month long, $0.50 from each Cocoa Porter and $1 from each flight served will be donated to Radio Eye.

Radio Eye is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with West Sixth Brewing during the month of November as their Sixth for a Cause non-profit! This means that 50¢ of every Cocoa Porter they sell and $1 from all flights will be coming to Radio Eye to help us with our move. It's also our birthday month, so we'll be celebrating 34 years on air!

We will be holding two happy hour events during which the donations will be doubled - November 14 in Lexington and November 21 in Louisville, both from 4-7 PM. Radio Eye staff and board members will be at the events to talk about what we do and showcase the many ways to listen to Radio Eye. We encourage volunteers to come hang out, have a beer, and catch up with us!
