Forged by the flames of corruption and greed, repulsed by tyranny and a thirst to murder in numbers for gain, Lockdown is a malevolent force fueled by the poisons of humanity. Lockdown is an American band whose adrenaline-charged sound is infused with their Metal and Hardcore DNA. Spawn from New York, Lockdown has shared the stage with NYHC legends Agnostic Front, Biohazard, Madball, Leeway, and VOD.
Roi and Lombardi are former bandmates with the original version of the Industrial force known as ‘Bile’ (Energy Records). During their tenure, Bile toured with Gwar, opened for Marilyn Manson, and shared the Concrete Foundations Forum main stage with Korn, Bruce Dickinson, Dream Theatre, Machine Head, Biohazard, Raven, and Dee Snider’s Widow Maker. In recent years, Roi and Lombardi collaborated on a project known as ‘Vibrator’ (Nowed Records), alongside Chuck Lenihan of the legendary Crumbsuckers.
To round out the quintet, Proimos was recruited to secure the percussive backbone. Proimos and Lombardi were also prior bandmates with ‘Na**lm’ (SPV/Steamhammer Records). Over a three-year span, Na**lm toured with Tankard, and played various shows with Motorhead, King Diamond, GBH, Metal Church, C.O.C., Flotsam and Jetsam, Cro-Mags, and Venom. Topping off a series of memorable performances was the unique stitch in time which Thrash metal was brought to NYC’s CBGB’s in the form of Na**lm, Dark Angel and Possessed!
Coming full circle after years of collaborations, Lockdown has laid a 13 song imprint to launch the band to the next level. Their debut album ‘Step Over The Bodies’ (Selfmade Records/Earache Digital Distribution) was produced and mixed by Biohazard’s Billy Graziadei and Danny Schuler, with engineering duties assumed by Jeff Cummings of Sworn Enemy. Previously, the band released ‘Step Over The Bodies’ on Jamey Jasta’s label Stillborn Records, as well as ‘Hard to the Core’ on Rick “Ta Life” Healy’s Back Ta Basics Records. Lockdown is primed to steam forward on their creative journey with a sophomore release slated for Spring 2024. Locked and loaded, come along for the ride!
Lockdown are Eric Roi – Vocals, Jeff Lombardi – Guitar/Vocals, Justin P. Flynn – Guitar, Lorenzo Golia – Bass, and Robert Proimos – Drums. Honorable former members include Doug Bohn (Suffocation) and Nicky X (Scarhead).
