Wes Henderson, Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee and co-founder of ANGEL’S ENVY®, is launching a new portfolio of premium whiskey under the brand True Story. The legacy begins with a finished Kentucky straight bourbon and a finished blend of straight ryes. I was honored to meet Wes and his family at their “first taste” event where I got to learn about the brand, participate in a cocktail masterclass, enjoy a paired culinary and whiskey meal, and tour The Kentucky Castle. The release follows Henderson’s creation of a new spirits company. Through Saga Spirits Group, he purchased the Kentucky Castle and the Edgewood Industrial Site next door. The $92.5 million investment includes the creation of a distillery that will be the home of True Story.
