Our Development Activity page at www.lexingtonnc.gov/development gives residents a resource to stay up to date on new residential and commercial developments. Here's some of what you'll find:

- Lexington had conditional zonings approved for 507 housing units in 2024, and 300 units were either built to completion last year or are currently under construction. Conditional zoning for 375 units has been approved so far in 2025.

- Historic preservation projects are underway including Lincoln Park's submission for a National Register of Historic Places nomination and the Dunbar School redevelopment.

- Commercial development is prevalent with companies such as Siemens Mobility, Divert and Nucor Rebar building facilities in the area.
