Jim Krouse, former fire chief for Colfax Volunteer Fire Department, passed away on Saturday at 76-years-old when going to his fourth fire call of the day, but left his impact on the community that will be felt forever.

Hospitals around the gem state are continuing to see record amounts of patients and are in need of help from public volunteers

Local law officials in Lewiston are sending reminders to parents and drivers to follow reduced speed limits in school zones, as well as being patient behind bus stops

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare held its weekly Covid-19 briefing. Cases and hospitalizations are skyrocketing as shorthanded hospitals are becoming overwhelmed.
MANN LAKE CLOSED DUE TO TOXIC ALGAE
Mann Lake, outside of Lewiston, ID was closed by officials last Thursday due to green-blue algae that has become toxic due to recent weather conditions. Locals are urged to stay away as well with their pets and livestock. Important to note that this does not effect drinking water for local residents.

Fires continue to spring up around the region, with the lastest wildfire popping up just outside of Lenore, ID. The fire is now 20% contained and has burned over 10,000 acres. Here is a look at the first day of the fire burning and the evaccuees watching their homes.
