Francine & Mark Butler of the Delaware African American Heritage Council, Inc. joined Mark & Pam on the Breakfast Club for a celebration of Juneteenth, and details on tonight's (Wed June 19, 2024) showing of "Camp Delaware" at the Strand Theatre in Delaware.

The screening details the legacy of the 5th United States Colored Infantry Regiment, mustered in Delaware, during the Civil War.

Tickets are $10 and available at the door tonight. Head out to celebrate Juneteenth! - Mark

For once, our "Breakfast Club Morning Buffet" was well-stocked last week, thanks to Pam's acquisition of a box of goodies from 8 Sisters Bakery in Morrow County and financial planner Tom Kovach, who readied us for St. Patrick's Day with some Guinness, along with snacks for building our college basketball tourney brackets!

It's Restaurant Week in Columbus and the taste-makers at Agave & Rye Grandview popped by with details on some of the new yummies on their menu.

Agave and Rye has become one of my absolute go-to spots in Columbus. Incredible food, great atmosphere and oh, those mac and cheese beignets are life-changing!

Debbie Benjamin of Powell cruised by the station the other day to grab the gift we bestowed upon her with our "25 Days of On-Air Christmas." (She got a $50 gift card to Andrew's Pastries in Marion.)

And for the second year in a row, she gifted back with a couple boxes of our favorite "Little Debbie" snack cakes. I think we have a tradition going on! :)

And yes, that is in an actual "Little Debbie" t-shirt she's wearing . She recently visited the town where the snack cakes are made :) (I think she said her son lives there).

Hangin' with the actors! Feelin' all dramatic and gettin' my thespian on with the gang from Delaware's Arena Fair Theatre.

There's one more weekend to catch their production of "Miracle on 34th Street" Dec. 8 and 9th.

The show is a unique re-imagination of the longtime Christmas classic, with this adaptation both penned and directed by Judge David Hejmanowski (top center).

The reimagination centers around the employees of a radio station and their efforts around their own production of a radio version of "Miracle on 34th Street."

The judge told us he based some of his radio characters and scenes on what he's experienced and seen during his visits here to the Mid Ohio Breakfast Club and My 967 WDLR. Now, that's cool! - Mark Bingaman
