Civilization has reached a cross-road, where the threat of war has returned in a manner unforeseen just months ago, but where the prospects for a new paradigm of global cooperation towards genuine development have also reached a potential breakthrough. With the initiatives coming out of the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and allied nations like Egypt and Argentina, mank
ind is on the threshold of a new form of cooperation among nation-states working towards the common aims of mankind. At the Fortaleza, Brazil BRICS heads of state summit in July 2014, the member nations, along with the nations of South America and the Caribbean, agreed to create a New Development Bank, one of a network of new credit institutions to finance major infrastructure projects in the areas of transportation, energy, agriculture and scientific research and development. Chinese President Xi Jinping has placed the highest priority on the New Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road, linking the Asia-Pacific region to Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Executive intelligence Review (EIR): EIR has been at the very center of shaping this new movement, which can be seen as a realization of the vision and plans for a Just, New World International Economic Order put forward by Lyndon and Helga LaRouche, and their movement, in the early 1970s. For 40 years, the LaRouches and EIR have been on an organizing drive to spread the ideas which could spark just such a development.
1996 marked a major landmark in this process, when Mrs. Helga Zepp-LaRouche participated in a conference on the Eurasian Land-Bridge perspective in Beijing, China. In the wake of that conference, EIR produced its Eurasian Land-Bridge Special Report ("The Eurasian Land-Bridge: The ‘New Silk Road’-Locomotive for Worldwide Economic Development"), which laid out how the impetus then being developed in China, could spread throughout the planet. EIR’s newly released report, "The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge," is the exciting sequel to the 1996 report, updating the enormous progress that has been made on the development plans laid out in that earlier report, and presenting extensive development plans for every part of the world, driven by a crash fusion power program, and the replacement of the bankrupt monetary system with a credit-based system of national banking. The 374 page report is available in print, or PDF and is necessary reading for policy makers and citizens who are serious about developing the planet in the 21st century. THIS is what a world without war, terrorism and British empire colonialism looks like. After an introduction by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the report lays out the "Metrics of Progress," based on the economic scientific principles developed by renowned physical economist Lyndon LaRouche. It then proceeds region by region, beginning with China and Russia, to present the stunning progress, and plans, which have been made toward the Eurasian Land-Bridge design that the Chinese government laid out in 1996, and other nations have begun to rally behind in recent years. The report, complete with many full-color maps of its featured development corridors, is available in pdf, for $200, and in hard copy, for $250.
