Sharon Virts was born and raised here in Loudoun County. She and her husband recently completed a major renovation of Selma Mansion that sits at the base of Catoctin Mountain. Sharon is also a published author of "Masque of Honor" a historical nonfiction book that chronicles the life of Armistead Mason. Armistead built Selma Mansion in 1810. He was a US Senator from Virginia at the age of 28 and was later killed in a duel with his cousin John Mason McCarty. This is a great book, filled with Loudoun history. Leesburg Chief of Police Greg Brown was my latest guest. We recorded on the back patio at Shoes Cup and Cork on a 90 degree day with masks and doing our best socially distancing with a fist pump.
These are challenging times but Chief Brown emphasized that the Leesburg Police Department will continue to provide professional, fair and objective service to every one that lives in or visits our community.
If you see Chief Brown out in the community, be sure to say hello. He is very approachable and appreciates the opportunity to engage. You can listen to the full podcast on Apple Podcast, Spotify or here:
