This time of year is always bittersweet. For the past 26 years, I have made the annual journey to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the spring Wannemacher's Tulsa Arms Show. And even though in three more months it will have been 17 years since we lost Pop, I try my best to enjoy his birthday here on the road like we did together for so long.

This being the third design made for me by TOPS and the second of five in my Coffin-Handled line, It had to be a Bowie. However, I didn't want just a giant western "Remember the Alamo" knife. I wanted something sleeker, something a Keelboat man would use to settle who was the "C**k of the Walk" as they traversed the mighty Mississippi. Dad had the Englishmen and Germans produce different bowies over the years, but none quite like my Sandbar Bowie.

So a little over a year ago I spoke with Dave Wattenberg at the Nashville Custom Knife Show. We discussed a few possibilities of making some different Fight'n Rooster automatics. After running over my ideas with Matt Yuen our first limited design has come to fruition. We only made 100 of these, and so many missed out on our first automatic in 2015, you better contact your local dealer now, as they will be shipping out this week across the country.
