Celebrating this we are showcasing a scan of George Taliaferro's cleats! George Taliaferro was the first African American drafted to the NFL in 1949 out of Indiana University. He went on to play for five NFL teams, and had several pro bowl seasons with the Indianapolis Colts (who were located in Baltimore at that time). He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981. Check out the Sketchfab link:
