ALABAMA: In the news again, one of world’s deadliest prison systems, Alabama’s Bullock Correctional Facility is currently dealing with the aftermath of busted water pipes in below freezing weather. Unfortunately, this is only one of many videos that have surfaced with reports of flooding due to frozen pipes bursting.
The Department of Justice recently sued Alabama stating that Alabama’s prisons for men violated the Constitution because Alabama failed to provide adequate protection from prisoner-on-prisoner violence and prisoner-on-prisoner sexual abuse, failed to provide safe and sanitary conditions, and subjected prisoners to excessive force at the hands of prison staff.

This is so wrong. We never abolished slavery in America. We just gave it an exception. This is what the inmates in Alabama prisons are experiencing because they are no longer willing to work for free. We the people on the outside stand with those on the inside and demand an end to modern day slavery and the horrible, heinous, cruel, and inhumane conditions at these Alabama “facilities”.

She says being married to Kartel is a “dream come true.” When asked about the difficulties being married to an incarcerated person she said, “obviously I can’t see him every time I want to see him or I can’t talk to him every time I want to talk to him, but when you know what you want, and you know where your heart is at, It’s not that difficult, so I’m willing to wait.” She also added, “it’s not perfect but we’re making the most out of what we can.”
