Radio 7 Media is seeking a dynamic News Director to oversee the production of our newscasts on WLX, WDXE, and The X. This pivotal role involves curating the content and orchestrating the flow of our daily broadcasts as well as enhancing our digital presence through web content development and on social media.
The successful candidate will possess a keen sense of news judgment, ensuring that our coverage is not only timely and relevant but also resonates with our audience. Precision in writing is paramount. The ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment is essential.
Strong communication skills are a must. As the News Director, you will work with various organizations, officials, public safety departments and first responder agencies, to pass along any vital information to the public. Flexibility and quick problem-solving capabilities are crucial for navigating the fast-paced and often unpredictable nature of news production. Moreover, proficiency in radio production, including a solid understanding of the technical and creative aspects, will enable the News Director to elevate our broadcasts and engage our listeners in meaningful ways.
