Happy Thanksgiving from Blind Crime to you!

I know I'm not consistent, but I'm so thankful for everyone who listens when I am able to release episodes. This year has been hell, but things are turning around and I have a feeling 2025 is going to be a lot better. Thank you for sticking with me and for all of your support. Abby and Libby, you got justice today. You should still be here, alive, living your lives. But hopefully now your memories can live on, knowing the person who did this to you will never walk free again.

In my opinion, the evidence was irrefutable. I had moments of doubt, but nothing was beyond reasonable. The places you'd have to reach to in order to find Ruchard Allen not guilty are too far to be feasible. Not to bash anyone who thought/thinks he's innocent... I just personally can't make the connections make sense any other way.

The appeals will come. The backlash will be monumental. But Abby and Libby, you got justice today.

Thank you all so much for your support since I've been gone. This break has been much needed and extremely beneficial. With that being said, I'm happy to report that 3 new episodes will be dropping in August! Can't wait! ♡

To my amazing listeners,
This year has been incredibly difficult. I experienced something earlier this year that has left me in a state of merely existing, rather than truly living. I’ve known from the moment it happened that I was not going to just bounce back from this, but I was not expecting to experience what I have experienced the last several months. I have been diagnosed with PTSD from a medical trauma. I’ve tried to keep going through the motions of life, but I have been lying to everyone, including myself. While I am not doing “okay,” I am doing the things I need to do in order to heal and move past what happened. I’ve started therapy again and I’m working with my therapist and my medical team to make sure my mind an my body are as healthy as they can be. But the trauma is still there and my emotional bandwidth is just… gone. I’m lucky if I make it through a day without crying or having a panic attack. I’m in a this hyper-vigilant state of awareness all while trying to block out the things that bring back memories. I’m just a mess, but thankfully, I have the resources I need to clean up the mess and put everything back in order.
With all of that being said, I am going to be taking a break from Blind Crime. I just don’t have it in me to do the podcast and produce quality content while also trying to heal from my trauma. I don’t know how long I will be gone, but I do know that I am coming back and I am going to come back better than ever. I’ve got several cases I want to cover and while I won’t be making new episodes in the meantime, I am going to be working on what Is to come in the future. I want to thank you all for your unrelenting support and continuous love and listens. You’re the reason this show exists and the reason I continue to do it. I’m so thankful for you all.
I also want to encourage anyone who is struggling with trauma or mental health issues. You are not alone. You are more than what you deal with on a daily basis. Your life matters and the world is so much better with you in it. I know that life is hard and sometimes it’s easier to think the world would be better without you, but I PROMISE you, that is not true. You are so much more loved than you can imagine. If you’re struggling with mental health or suicidal thoughts, please reach out to someone, anyone. Don’t be ashamed to say you need help. You aren’t alone. I’m with you. I’m rooting for you. I’m in your corner. Always.
I promise that I will be back and I can’t wait to start making new episodes. This will mark the end of season 2, and season 3 is going to be a bit more… serial. I’ll talk to you all soon.
