All. Bets. Are. Off. This week we’re celebrating Katrina’s wedding anniversary and she chose Guy Ritchie’s brilliant dark comedy—Sn**ch! Katrina comes with a briefcase full of trivia. Like how did Brad Pitt end up in the film? And what’s with his accent?

KATRINA-is the PRO and she will get a button push from Anna no matter what. Even if she has to threaten Anna with fake guns and hungry pigs.

ANNA-is the CON and she’s just hoping she can mumble her way through the synopsis so Katrina won’t catch a penalty. Wanna find out? Well than slam a shot and board a plane, because this is gonna be good.

Bugsy Malone: We Coulda Been Anything That We Wanted to be...Like a Singing, Pie-Throwing, Child Mafiaso

Grab a fedora and a pie because it’s time to talk about 1976’s Bugsy Malone! This is an absolute favorite for Anna and Katrina and we don’t wanna hear any guff about it!

This utterly charming musical from first time director, Sir Alan Parker, has everything—200 child actors, songs written and performed by the brilliant Paul Williams, SPLURGE GUNS….everything! We truly hope you’ll enjoy this one and if you want to watch the movie before listening to the episode, it’s free on Pluto TV, and available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

ANNA-is the PRO on this one and boy, oh boy is she ever excited! She’s ready to throw a pie and push a button because this one was chosen by Anna for her birthday and the movie is so delightful it really is a birthday gift for everyone!

Trick or Treat (1986): Okay Fine, He's a Dead, Evil Murderer...but he Dances Like an Angel and his Song is a Bop

Do you love horror movies with a hero who is a rockin non-conformist that can't wait for a gaggle of preppy pricks to get their comeuppance? And also, Gene Simmons as a disc jockey, Ozzy Osbourne as preacher, and acclaimed Solid Gold dancer Tony Fields (RIP) as a recently crispified and mostly deceased hard rock idol? You might think this sounds like a fever dream, but it is actually 1986's Trick or Treat!!!

ANNA-is the pro, and she has the power of kick ass trivia, an amazing rock soundtrack (yeah, we said it), dance moves (all amazing, no notes), and even a Tim Curry reference, so safe to say she won't need a trick to get a button push out of Katrina. Or will she?

KATRINA-is the con, and she had tequila. And she loves kick ass trivia, amazing rock soundtracks, dance moves off kinds, and of course, Tim Curry. She gives up and accepts her fate. This one is all treats, no tricks.

We're releasing this at midnight on Halloween because it's what Sammy Curr would've wanted and we don't want to p**s him off, even if he is a fictional, mostly dead villain.

Child’s Play: Sure Chucky is a Murderous Doll, but No-one Can’t He Isn’t Friendly-ish! Wanna plaaaaaaay..........our latest episode? Will you be our podcast friend till the end? C’mon, these hints are gold. Plus, we give you the name of the episode at the top, so you kind of go into this with an advantage. The Split Happens sisters can’t think of anything that gets you more in the mood for spooktober than an adorable, albeit homicidal foul mouthed doll with an unending un-alive list. We are thrilled to bring you 1988’s Child’s Play.

KATRINA-is the pro, and she has about 7 hours of pre-synopsis trivia, which works out great since Anna distracted her with about 7 gallons of tequila during the episode, so things may get more sloppy than spooky.

ANNA-is the con and she sure does love foul mouthed short people, being as she is one, and Katrina is banking on this episode being button push nirvana. If only she can see straight to push the button........

Witchboard: Just a Little Psychic Humor and a Dash of Ghostly Homicide We are kicking off our month of spoooooky episodes with a suspenseful, supernatural, spirit filled gem. This movie has everything: An 80’s soap opera star; enough Aqua Net to destroy the ozone layer; gum; a Ouija board; a possessed spirit who may or not be a p**sed off 10yo.........everything!!!!! Enjoy 1986’s Witchboard!

KATRINA IS THE PRO-and even though there isn’t much trivia for this movie, that doesn’t stop her from going on and on about how incredibly amazing and bananas this movie is! She feels pretty confident that between their lifelong love for Stephen Nichols’ titular role of Steve “Patch” Johnson from Days of Our Lives and Kathleen Wilhoite’s perfect portrayal of psychic Zarabeth, she will get a button push from Anna. OR ELSE!!!

ANNA IS THE CON-and she is well aware of Katrina’s tricks and is planning to deny her love for Patch and Zarabeth like a disgruntled spirit refusing to go into the light. Whoops, wrong movie. She’s a savvy ho, but will high spirits (again, wrong movie) and her love for 80’s horror films possess her conning ways??? Listen and find out!

Us twice married people think so (Katrina, that is), so we thought, "Hey us, why don't we try re-recording an episode that people seem to love, and put that theory to the test?"! Except this time Katrina is the pro, and Anna is the con! Genius! Get ready for the swashbuckling romp that is 1982's The Pirate Movie!

This award-winning film (Nominated for nine Razzies and winner of three) has been described by critics as "unwatchable" and "excruciating" and "literally painful to get through" and is a personal favorite of the Split Happens sisters. Anna and Katrina decided that there are just not enough podcasts about a benevolent animated fox and the grown human women (woman) who have developed feelings for said fox, and these women (Anna) need their (hers) voices heard! Please join us as we take a not creepy at all trip down memory lane as we discuss 1973's Disney classic, Robin Hood!

ANNA-is obviously the pro because she would have it no other way, and honestly was quite frightening during the negotiations on this topic. She comes loaded with trivia, tequila, and love, and has no time for feeble minded attacks!

KATRINA-is the con, and for the first time might be terrified of the pickle she is in. Not because she can't scrounge up a con or two. Oh no, that's not it. ANNA IS TERRIFYING WHEN IT COMES TO THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!! But tequila makes you do silly things, like ignore overt threats.

So what exactly have we been doing whilst on a recording hiatus? Important s**t, obvs.

Tomorrow we release not one, but TWO episodes: Disney's Robin Hood and 1982's The Pirate Movie!

Now before anyone asks, "but wait, haven't you
already covered The Pirate Movie?" Nothing gets by you guys, and yep, we sure did. However, we're mixing things up and this time Katrina takes the PRO and Anna takes the CON!
