Emily Bezar Music is always a blast to mix, and this EP was extra interesting as most songs were taken from a 1999 session on 2" tape. The first song is a fresh master of a previously unreleased mix. It all sounds very modern, proof that Emily is always ahead of her time.

2008-2012 were formative years for me. My first assignment out of flight school took me to a unit stacked with solid dudes who cut me no slack as I learned the ropes. We worked hard and tore up the nights in Central America. I had two more assignments flying Hercs after that, but never found the same kind of camaraderie again. ‘Southern Skies’ is the first track off my EP, OCEANS and kind of sums up that longing for what once was.
