It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Jose Pino, aka “Julio the Gardener”. Jose was part of the 98.5 KLUC morning team of “Mike O’Brian and the Breakfast Flakes”, starting in the mid 80’s. His character “Julio the Gardner” was a staple of that show, and became a household name in southern Nevada. Our condolences to his family, and all who mourn Jose’s passing. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will live long.

Is with heavy heart and deep regret that we announce the passing of a Las Vegas radio icon, Martin Belter, better known as Big Marty. Big Marty gained his popularity on the Las Vegas rock ‘n’ roll radio station KOMP-92.3 FM. Marty was a well known figure in the local rock ‘n’ roll scene, and is famed for bringing it to the forefront in the 80’s. Big Marty was inducted into the Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame in 2004, where he leaves a forever footprint. Our heartfelt condolences to his immediate and broadcast families, as well as all who mourn his passing.

On behalf of her family, we regrettably announced the passing of Diana Smith. Diana was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2008, where she leaves a forever footprint in the Broadcasting industry. Our heartfelt condolences to all who mourn Diana‘s passing.
