MERCY over Justice Productions has been around since 2011. MoJ Productions was founded by Zeke Saadiq (fka Prince Tiny) with influence from Tarun Krishna Prabhu (aka Lost Devotee). The term “mercy over justice” comes from Srila BR Sridhar Maharaj. “Krishna consciousness is the most accommodating. We are to consider that it is beyond justice. It is the land of mercy consideration. Our highest goal is from the consideration of mercy, not justice. It is inconceivable, but above justice is the plane of consideration, mercy and affection, and that is Krishna consciousness. It even goes over what is our due, therefore it is high.”
“Sin City Saints” (Lost Devotee, Zeke Saadiq, KSD eventually B.C. Logic) first stepped onto the conscious Hip Hop scene in 2007, and we had ideas for a larger Label/ production team. By 2011 Sin City Saints ended up having affiliates across the country, and that paved the way for various projects/ artists to be connected under one banner. Zeke Saadiq had also started receiving support & free beats from producers worldwide. The original idea for independence remained, so MoJ Productions was established.
Since then, Zeke Saadiq has lead the team with assistance from Lost Devotee, B.C. Logic , Pree’Moe and collaborative partner Raashan the ZodiaK. 2019 has a lot in store for MoJ. Pree’Moe and Lost Devotee projects that have been in the vaults will be released, hopefully soothing the hearts of their loved ones. Other collaborative projects are in store, and they hold a certain spiritual depth and thought provoking standard expected of MERCY over Justice Productions. Our core music concept remains “conscious”, no matter what artists may individually explore.
Grey Djedi is a major collaborative project that features Raashan the ZodiaK & Zeke Saadiq. Raashan appears courtesy of Prosperous Wealth Records, and we are happy to have them on our expanded team. PW’s founder, Young Yadie also offers assistance on the Grey Djedi project. Our good friend and Las Vegas colleague Priscilla Peaceful is another regular feature for Grey Djedi. We anticipate working with a few artists from the Underground and Independent scenes.
