I was very lucky to have been asked by Stan Allen to curate the museum for this year's amazing MAGIC Live! So many people in magic were incredibly generous in helping to put this together. Garry Cohen was kind enough to shoot a video of the entire museum and asked me to lead the tour. Looks like two of my creations were on tonight's Penn & Teller Fool Us! That makes three so far this season. Thank you guys for making me proud of what I do. Congratulations Vinny Grosso on fooling two of the smartest guys in magic! You're routine was great! Oh, and nice looking tuxedo;)

At MAGIC Live, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Martin Lewis and to introduce him for his Focus Session. Well, today I received the most wonderful surprise in the mail...Martin Lewis sent me his original Mardo Egg Bag. The bag made for him by his mum in the early '70's! The very bag that he used in his shows for over 20 years! He also sent his DVD and a wonderfully kind letter in which he told me a brief history of his mum making the bag. I'm so excited to watch the DVD; Martin tells me that at the end of the DVD he interviews his mum about making the bags. This is so wonderful to me and I can hardly wait to write this into my lecture(s). Can you tell how thrilled I am?

I had a great time at AbraCORNdabra! Thank you to Steve Daly for putting on such a fun convention. What a thrill to present my lecture for the first time! I'm so excited to continue researching the history of fabric in magic and to continue expanding my lecture. I know I can be such a geek about it, but I find it incredibly fascinating. It's amazing how far back several of the tricks and techniques we use today are found. For instance, who knew that the coin hank was described in Reginald Scot's book "Discoverie Of Witchcraft" back in 1584?

Back to the books and researching I go:)

I've been working like crazy getting my lecture ready for AbraCORNdabra. Now, I have to figure out how I'm going to talk for only 30 minutes about the History of Fabric In Magic. There's so much to talk about!

I'm really looking forward to the convention, with so many friends attending, it's going to be a great time!

Well, guess what, that's right, yesterday I was spending some time with Johnny and he personally asked me to start making his dove harnesses. I'm so excited! On Friday, I saw "The Tempest" at the Smith Center and I don't even know what to say. It was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen...I loved it! The stage design was great, the acting was excellent, I loved the music and Johnny Thompson and Teller managed to perfectly weave magic into the play. I'm very honored to have contributed my tiny bit to the show. Bravo to Teller, the American Repertory Theater and everyone involved in this excellent production!
